India MBBS Admission Procedure 2025

The admissions in the medical colleges and universities of India are offered only through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). Through NEET and based on the eligibility score, one can get admission to medical courses in any medical college across India.

Indian Medical Entrance Exams 2025

NTA – National Testing Agency in India conducts the NEET entrance exam for offering admission in medical courses. Based on NEET Score Card, Students are offered admission in MBBS programmes. MBBS 2025 India Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen
  • OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) candidates can also apply
  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission
  • The maximum age is 25 years and 30 years for reserved categories
  • Candidates must be NEET qualified
  • Candidates should pass the 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) subject combination along with English as a compulsory subject
  • Candidates who are currently studying in 12th class can also apply

MBBS in India Selection Procedure 2025

The candidates will be selected for the MBBS seat allotment on the basis of NEET rank. The seats will be allotted at the time of counselling. After the declaration of the NEET result, the concerned authority will release the merit list of the candidates as per the rank obtained by them.

Based on the rank, candidates have to appear for the online counselling where they have to fill their college preferences. To participate in the counselling, it is absolutely necessary to first register on the respective counselling website.

Candidates have to undergo documents verification procedure for the allotment of seats. Candidates can download the admission letter and report to the allotted colleges for final admission procedure.
